Monster Number 4

The multiple eyes in this print capture an individual’s fear of blindness. In an effort to overcompensate the monster attempts to “over-see” and view everything around it. The choice of the muted colours in the background represents how despite the monster’s efforts the world around it is still fading. The creature is still going blind. It shows the power of our fears to manifest themselves. This piece was created in a sketchbook with ink and paint markers, and then scanned and printed.
